I’ve been pushing pixels, taking photographs, making videos, designing websites, DVD’s and all manner of media at Real World, where I am currently Director of Visual Media, since the mid 90’s.
I was lucky enough to land in this rarified corner of England on a strange journey through photographic darkrooms, where the thinking time led to a degree in Philosophy, which encouraged thought from all angles and took me on to a Masters in 3D animation. The MSc and a serendipitous twist of fate brought me to Real World - initially to investigate the possibilities offered by some strange new system - the World Wide Web.
Technology has moved on since I joined Real World and I’ve traveled with it. Having launched the first of the groups websites in 1996, then overseen their development from backwater to the main channel, with a team that designed and developed all manner of digital media for Peter Gabriel, Real World and WOMAD from 1998-2010. I changed roles in 2011 and am now focusing on content creation, specialising in photography, and filmmaking, but generally pushing pixels wherever they will go.
